Making Change Happen, from Generation to Generation

NCJW NY turns progressive ideals into action by working for equity, social justice, and empowerment for historically excluded and underserved individuals and families in New York City and state. We provide direct services to support our neighbors in need today—from all walks of life and all racial and religious backgrounds. We strive for a better tomorrow by acting as leaders and partners in advocacy work to advance systemic change.

We are a grassroots organization of volunteers, advocates and passionate community leaders who are inspired by Jewish values and a belief in our collective ability to make a lasting impact. A women-founded and women-led organization in operation for 130 years, we are steeped in a rich history of spearheading progressive change in our world by responding to the issues of the moment in our community. 

Currently, NCJW NY impacts the lives of nearly 40,000 individuals each year, with the help of a small army of nearly 300 volunteers.
