This gathering is meant for anyone who is looking to explore fighting for reproductive rights from a Jewish lens, including:
- Clergy
- Longtime activists in the reproductive rights space
- Advocates and allies who are new to the movement and excited to learn more
Themes:
- Looking to the past: Learning about the history of how Jews have always played a significant role in the reproductive rights and abortion movement.
- Examining texts: Hearing from clergy members about how Jewish texts inform our approach to reproductive justice.
- Building bridges: Discussing the importance of staying in progressive coalitions after October 7th.
- Mobilizing in today’s landscape: In a post-Dobbs world, it’s more important than ever to use our unique perspective as Jews to strengthen the movement.
This gathering will:
- Deepen shared understanding of the historical and contemporary role of Jewish leadership and participation in advancing reproductive rights, grounded in Jewish values and lived experience.
- Strengthen relationships and collaboration among advocates, providers, clergy, and allied partners to support and amplify coordinated, values-driven action.
- Equip participants with tools, strategies, and narratives to engage their communities, congregations, and institutions more effectively around reproductive justice.
- Inspire sustained action and leadership by connecting past lessons to present challenges and future opportunities in the reproductive rights movement.
🥗Kosher breakfast and lunch will be served.
🎟️Registration fee is $19.73 per person (fee will be waived for seniors, students, and those for whom the price is a barrier for attending this event).
