Jill C. Scheuer

Jill C. Scheuer is an attorney, social and reproductive justice advocate, and proud native New Yorker. She is an alumna of Barnard College, Columbia University, and holds a J.D. from New York University School of Law. For almost three decades, she practiced corporate law full-time, originally at two large law firms and later as in-house counsel. Following a tenure of seventeen years at Sumitomo Corporation of America, Jill embarked on a second career in volunteer service, holding board positions with Planned Parenthood Hudson Peconic (including three years as Board Chair), Planned Parenthood Empire State Acts (serving as Treasurer for two terms), and the Scarsdale Teen Center as co-President. She sits on the board, and serves as Governance and By-Laws committee chair, of the Alumnae Association of Barnard College, and has volunteered at Barnard as a mentor, a class officer and as an Admissions Office representative – conducting interviews with candidates and representing the college at college fairs in the tri-state area. Jill has considerable experience in corporate and non-profit governance, as well as in fundraising for non-profit organizations.

Jill is married to a fellow lawyer and has three adult daughters, one granddaughter, and two Welsh Terriers.
