2025 Fresh Food for Seniors

Fresh Foods for Seniors is back!

In partnership with City Councilmember Gale Brewer, we are excited to once again offer the Fresh Food for Seniors program to NCJW NY’s community.

The program offers a bag of locally-grown fresh produce for $10 cash (a $15+ value) throughout the growing season. It’s pay-as-you go, not a subscription, so it’s a great value with no need for a commitment—just a little advance planning. Produce is ordered by GrowNYC at wholesale prices from farmers in NY, NJ, CT and PA.

1. How much does a food bag cost?

Each food bag costs only $10. Cash only please. EBTs, credit cards, debit cards, and checks are not accepted.

 

2. Do I need to pay for more than one delivery at a time?

No, unlike other food bag programs, the Fresh Food for Seniors program requires only one order at a time.

 

3. Will I need proof of purchase to pick up my food?

No. If you ordered a food bag, we will have your name on file.

 

4. How much food will I receive?

Each bag will contain 5-6 varieties of produce, depending on what is in season, such as tomatoes, spinach, corn, carrots, apples, squash, and peaches.
