Rabbi Dennis Ross
Rabbi Dennis Ross served more than two decades as director of Concerned Clergy for Choice for Planned Parenthood Empire State Acts. His clergy advocacy leadership contributed to the enactment of vital New York State initiatives, including the Marriage Equality Act, the Reproductive Health Act, the Comprehensive Contraception Coverage Act, and the Equal Rights Amendment. His advocacy work, through the Planned Parenthood Advocacy Board, brought him to Washington, D. C. where he spoke at national forums including senate and congressional leaders, and President Obama. He is author of All Politics Is Religious: Speaking Faith to the Media, Policy Makers, and the Community, and A Year with Martin Buber, which was named a Top Ten Book of the Year by the Academy of Parish Clergy. He has written for the Boston Globe, the New York Times, Forward, Religion Dispatches, and other publications, and serves as an Intentional Interim Rabbi in the greater New York City area.
