Lenore Davis

Lenore Davis is a board member, co-founder and former board chair of The Brigid Alliance. In 2017 she brought together four women who would go on to create a travel service to help abortion seekers wherever state restrictions, stigma, poverty, and lack of access to health care all conspire to prevent and obstruct abortion care. They did endless research, had invaluable conversations with providers, abortion funds and advocates in order to understand what gaps existed and how to fill them effectively, while making sure to center abortion seekers’ needs and circumstances. It became clear that what was missing was travel and wrap-around support for women and pregnant people second trimester and up. The Brigid Alliance has grown from a bold idea conceived around a kitchen table into an essential national service that continues to provide compassionate and comprehensive abortion travel support.
