The Equal Rights Amendment will be on the ballot this November, and if passed, would enshrine abortion protections into the New York State Constitution.
Partner with Us
Jews for Repro NY is a grassroots organizing initiative activating Jews and Jewish leaders to speak out for abortion access in the New York metro area. This movement provides a space for New Yorkers to show up as Jews for reproductive rights.
New York’s Jewish community is hungry to engage in the fight for abortion access. Jews for Repro NY partners with synagogues, JCCs, synagogue sisterhoods and other Jewish communal groups. We enable advocates to take hands-on, meaningful volunteer action on repro issues most relevant here in New York, including increasing public funding for abortion access, using our vote to protect reproductive rights, and fighting the tactics of crisis pregnancy centers.
We have brought advocates to Albany to lobby for important repro legislation, organized film screenings, panel discussions and other educational presentations, and provided hands-on opportunities such as packing abortion aftercare kits and feminine hygiene packets.
If you or your organization would like to partner with us and host an event, please contact Liz Zimmerman at ezimmerman@ncjwny.org or fill out the form below.

SPREAD THE WORD ABOUT CRISIS PREGNANCY CENTERS
Inform Your Networks Follow Pro-Truth on Instagram, twitter and Facebook @iamprotruth and share our posts. Share the map of real clinics and crisis pregnancy centers on our Pro-Truth website (www.protruthny.org) and share news articles about crisis pregnancy centers.
Inform Vulnerable Populations: Crisis pregnancy centers target women and girls of color and immigrants living in low-income communities. If you are involved with community-based agencies serving these populations (high schools, community colleges, religious institutions, legal aid providers, housing organizations and shelters, community health centers) help Pro-Truth connect to them and provide informational materials. Contact us at ProTruth@ncjwny.org.
URGE YOUR LAWMAKERS TO SUPPORT THESE IMPORTANT ISSUES
New York Health Information Privacy Act S158B/A4983B: The New York Health Information Privacy Act would protect New Yorkers’ electronic health data as well as electronic health data generated in New York, giving New Yorkers control over their electronic health data and making it harder for law enforcement to use that data to prosecute New Yorkers for providing, receiving, or helping someone to access health care. This bill has passed in the State Senate but not the Assembly. Contact your legislators and urge them to support this bill here.
Jewish communal pledge for medication abortion access: Add your voice by pledging to help us move closer to a world where every person is able to access comprehensive, affordable, compassionate, and equitable abortion care in whatever setting they choose and at whatever time they choose.
SUPPORT ABORTION FUNDS AND PRACTICAL SUPPORT ORGANIZATIONS
Despite legal access in New York state, abortion is often inaccessible for low-income people. Abortion Funds are organizations that directly support people seeking abortions. They may provide money for procedures, and/or help arrange travel, childcare, food and supplies. If you are able, support the New York Abortion Access Fund.
Practical Support Organizations provide funding for lodging, travel, childcare and miscellaneous costs for those who need it to access abortion care. Some abortion funds are also practical support organizations.” Please consider supporting practical support organizations such as the Brigid Alliance.
